Shear Bond Strength Of Adhesive Resin Cement


Abstract
this study was designed to investigate the shear bond strengths of cast metal restorations bonded to tooth structure with one of four metal adhesive bonding agents.
For the experiment, metal surfaces of 40 non-precious alloys were treated with sandblasting and cemented with one of four metal adhesive bonding agents(Super Bond C&B, Panavia 21-TC, All Bond-2, Bistite Resin Cement). Universal test machine was
used to
measure shear bond strength.
@ES The results were obtained as follows:
@EN 1. The shear bond stregths of the Bistite Resin Cement and the Panavia 21-TC were higher than those of the Super Bond C&B and the All-Bond 2(p<0.001). But no significant difference was found not only between the Bistite Resin Cement and the
Panavia
21-TC but between the Super Bond C&N and The All-Bond 2 (p>0.001).
2. In tested specimen, the fractures of enamel-resin-metal joints were mainly occurred between enamel and resin cement in Super Bond C&B but between resin cements in the other cases.
